Dattatreya- a collective incarnation of the holy trinity of Hinduism.
Dattatreya is a collective incarnation of the holy trinity – Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Three heads and six hands correspond to the Trimurti (trinity). He is a sanyasi (monk) deity. He was born to sage Atri and Anusuya. He is depicted as holding symbolic items related to Trimurti – rosary and kamandal (Brahma), conch and chakra (Vishnu), trident and damru (Shiva). He is shown along with four dogs which represent four holy scriptures – Vedas – and cow as mother earth.
