In Hindu mythology, Ketu is a demon whose head is cut by Vishnu, when he drank Amrit (elixir of life) disguised as a Deva (demi-god). He is depicted as a headless body of an Asura (demon). A strong position of Ketu in horoscope bestows pleasant and disease free life and saves from enemies.He is a part of Hindu system of celestial bodies – Navagraha.
