Maha Gauri – “The fair form of Durga, one of the Navadurga, nine manifestation of Durga”
Goddess Maha Gauri is one of the nine forms of Nav Durga or Nine Durga. She is worshiped on eighth day of festival dedicated to Goddess Durga, Navratri, the nine holy nights. Her complexion is completely white, and hence, she is called Gauri. She is depicted as four-armed, seated on a bull, holding trident, conch, and a fire pot.
