Soma Chakra – The pyschic energy centre of Moon.
Soma Chakra lies above the sixth Chakra – Ajna or third eye Chakra and within the Sahasrara or crown chakra, above the third eye in the centre of the forehead. The lotus in this chakra mandala has twelve petals. The colour of the chakra is light blue, gradually becoming white at the centre. The white colour represents sattva guna. The animal associated with Soma Chakra is Kamadhenu. Kamadhenu has the face of a crow -representing curiosity, horns of a cow – representing nourishment, neck of a horse – representing strength, tail of peacock – associated with dreams, and wings of swan – representing quality of discrimination. Once the Kundalini energy reaches this chakra, the wish-fulfilling cow Kamdhenu becomes accessible to the Yogi.
