Four-armed form of Hindu God Shiva – the God of destruction. Sadyojata connected to 1st chakra, Panchvaktra Shiva.
Hindu God Shiva is also known as the God of destruction and together with Brahma and Vishnu forms the Hindu trinity – Triumurti. Shiva brings the transformation in the universe in the form of destruction, leading to a new creation. Shiva is also known as Adi Yogi or the first Yogi. Thus, through the practice of Yoga and self-control, Shiva is also the destroyer of illusion or Maya. Apart from a fierce deity and a Yogi, Shiva is also a householder, his consort being Goddess Parvati, who is an aspect of the primordial feminine – Adi Shakti. He is depicted here as four-armed representing the four cardinal directions.
