Ketu Yantra - High Quality Print of Artwork by Pieter Weltevrede - Home Decor
Description
Ketu Yantra is a sacred geometrical diagram to invoke Ketu, the divine personification of the Southern Lunar Node. Ketu is depicted as the headless body of an Asura (demon). According to Hindu mythology, Ketu is a demon whose head was cut off by Vishnu when he drank Amrit (elixir of life) while disguised as a Deva (demi-god).
- A strong position of Ketu in the horoscope bestows a pleasant and disease-free life, offering protection from enemies. Ketu is a part of the Navagraha (nine celestial bodies) in Hindu astrology.
- The Ketu Yantra is contained in a Bhupur (a square with four T-shaped doors), which gives access to its divine energy.
-
Inside the Bhupur, there are eight lotus petals, representing the eight elements of the world:
-Space, air, fire, water, earth, mind, intellect, and ego. - The Yantra is dark green in color, corresponding to Ketu's traditional representation. Green is a neutral color, a combination of hot yellow and cold blue, providing a restful effect on the eyes. The six-pointed star inside the circle of petals, formed by upward and downward triangles, represents the union of male and female energy, symbolizing a balanced geometry.
